Solos

The soils of our quintas are predominantly schistous, typical of the Douro, offering a mineral profile and a natural acidity essential to produce balanced and aromatic wines. This type of soil allows for excellent drainage and effectively regulates humidity, favoring root depth and grape quality.

Schist is, in fact, one of the main characteristics of the Douro Demarcated Region, internationally recognized for its wines' excellence.
